Watch! News Conference in Response to Governor Kemp Signing SB 233

What: The Georgia General Assembly and Governor Kemp passed SB 233, establishing an entirely new voucher program in Georgia. SB 233 was passed after significant revisions with little notice to the public and no opportunity for public comment. The organizations and individuals listed below will share our continued concerns about the private school voucher program and demand intentional, sustained investment in our public education system.

  • Elijah Brawner, Student, Emory Divinity

  • Tracey Nance, Elementary School Teacher and 2022 Georgia Teacher of the Year
