The Tejano experience includes working to create a more just society through struggles for educational rights, workers’ rights, and political inclusion. While there have been gains, the quest for equal protection of the law and the ability to participate equally as Americans is ongoing. This series of activities can be broken into several classes or used individually as desired. The life of San Antonio, Texas, activist Emma Tenayuca is brought to life through an article, collection of photographs, quotes, and excerpts from oral history interviews and biographies dedicated to her story.
