Refusing to Forget: The Life of Jovita Idar

Jovita Idar was a journalist, teacher, nurse, feminist and civil rights pioneer who fought for the rights of Mexicans and Mexican Americans living in South Texas in the early 20th century. Throughout her life, Idar took a stand against oppression and advocated equality and freedom.
